On Thursday 16th April join us for a night of laughter that will raise the roof and shake the foundations! With a stunning lineup of four comedians hand-picked by your hostess with the mostess, Emily Bampton. As well as gossip & advice in her signature crowdwork section ‘Emily Ruins Your Life’ , this POC and queer-led night is not your same old stand-ups, these are the lineups you actually want to see.
We're creating and curating giggles, centering your favourite girls, gays, femmes, and thems, and taking place at independent 40ft Brewery Blackhorse Road.

The Lineup
Alex Franklin
Alex is a trans, half-Chinese, super funny comedian, who does stand up, musical comedy, and scuttling around on the ground. In 2024, she brought her Brighton Fringe Comedy Award nominated show ‘Gurl Code’ to Edinburgh Fringe and Soho Theatre, and the writhing masses lapped it up ('Deeply affecting and incredibly funny' Wee Review ★★★★★).
Alex has appeared on BBC Radio 4, Channel 4, HBO Max, ITV, and BBC1 (all for silly reasons), and has accrued 20 million views across TikTok and Instagram. She also has a nice smile :) .
Meka Mo
Meka Mo is a Queens, N.Y.–born comedian and podcast host named a Comic to Watch by the New York Comedy Festival and winner of Best of Fest at the Black Women in Comedy Laff Fest and the Sandy Gunar Award at the Jersey City Comedy Festival. A newer comic quickly building national and international momentum, she has opened for Michael Che, appeared on HBO’s Game Theory with Bomani Jones, and had a successful, award-winning run at the Edinburgh Fringe.
Her 2025 Don’t Tell Comedy debut—her first recorded set—has amassed viral clips, with one surpassing 4.1 million views and her material reaching over 8 million across platforms; her follow-up Cracked Comedy release (Oct 2025) has already topped 60,000 views and climbing. Meka is a regular at New York comedy clubs and performs internationally at Top Secret Comedy Club in London, Tokyo Comedy Bar, and the Barcelona Fringe Festival. Her emotional-wellness podcast, We’re Done Here, was spotlighted by the BBC and named a finalist for Yass! and NBC’s Laughter Lab.

Joe Sutherland
Joe Sutherland is a comedian, even though he could have been a dancer. Stand-up, acting, writing, influencing, there is nothing he won’t think about doing and maybe even get around to.
He performs all over the UK and internationally, sometimes on the internet and sometimes on the television (nature’s internet).
