On 14th August, join Collective Hysteria at Ormside Projects for a night of queer creative joy and mindfully crafted musical programming. Having run parties in London and beyond for over 3 years, they are settling into a new, intimate space for the next edition.
The grassroots queer party has invited some of London’s most talented emerging FLINTA* artists to soundtrack a trip through deep and psychedelic sounds, channeling the wild energy of surreal natural landscapes into the heart of the city. Naarm’s RBI will bring an exploratory live set, fluidly moving between intensity and euphoria. DJ and visual artist ÇINTH, fresh from their UNFOLD debut, will close the journey, carefully blending progressive and driving trance elements into a distinct, immersive sound. Collective Hysteria founders Lovelace and Jezebelle will build the opening of the party through a carefully-sewn fabric of deep, percussive rhythms and dub-infused textures.
These sonic delights will be accompanied by immersive visual storytelling from newcomer Porsha, who is presenting their cyber-psychedelic visual art in a club setting for the first time.
Having started hosting events back in 2022, Collective Hysteria has expanded from London to beyond, collaborating with queer parties in Lisbon, Brazil and Berlin. With a belief that psychedelic music is inherently queer, Collective Hysteria combine intentional music programming which straddles the sonic worlds of trance, techno and beyond, incorporating multidisciplinary creative elements such as visual installations and performances, with a fierce commitment to a holding space for FLINTA* individuals and allies to connect, process, and unfurl.
Recent recipients of funding from the PRS Foundation & Arts Council, Collective Hysteria has the opportunity to creatively experiment and challenge expectations, whilst investing care and attention to raise the standard for safer and more diverse spaces in nightlife. An all-FLINTA* welfare team will be present at the event and the party is recently accredited as a safer space by Good Night Out.
The night will fuse two strands of London’s underground landscape: a space for queer expression and connection, with music curation offering some of the psychedelic scene’s most exciting emerging talent.
