Across February and April, we'll be running 8 workshops using a whole load of theatre techniques— like improvisation, movement, and voice work—to foster creativity and artistic expression in a safe and inclusive space for queer migrants and queer folks of colour. We'll be led by Diego Agurto Beroiza, PhD researcher and Applied Theatre practitioner, and over the 8 sessions we'll get to grips with scene work, dialogue, blocking, and dramaturgy in a relaxed and accessible environment where participants can explore identity, build confidence, and develop performance skills collectively.
We'll be releasing tickets for the April workshops in mid-March, but you can sign up for all the February workshops now! You can sign up to as many as you'd like, but please don't hog the space if you can't make it.
📅 February 12th: Mean Queens - Using real fragments from Mean Girls as stimulus, we’ll dissect and exaggerate the absurdity of teenage hierarchies. Expect cafeteria politics, burn books, and a queer twist on Regina George’s empire.
