Exhibit P* - An Anti-Disciplinary Creative Workshop
For Queer women, trans and non-binary people
Inviting artists and community members to co-create a public-facing artwork which will be exhibited in Firepit's Glass Gallery in celebration of community, care, and collective resistance.
The day will include a grounding meditation, collaborative group agreement-making, supported individual art-making with 1:1 facilitation, and a shared vegan and gluten-free meal. The day will run as two 3-hour sessions with a 1-hour lunch break inbetween.
Rooted in queer resistance, self-authorship, and radical re-imagining, this anti-disciplinary workshop invites participants to explore personal and collective narratives through mediums such as sustainable textile upcycling, abstract painting and collage. Designed with neurodiversity and trauma-informed practice at its core, this workshop offers a calm, consent-based space to slow down, reflect, and create within a community setting.
Led by experienced trauma-informed facilitators with a vast and eclectic combined practice in inclusive LGBTQIA+ arts spaces, Exhibit P* centres underrepresented voices and prioritises wellbeing, sustainability, and connection.
