Midnight Runway is an NYC-founded group runway and afterparty event platform, focusing on de-commercialising fashion and putting the spotlight on emerging creatives. We have previously hosted seasons in NYC, London and Tokyo, with a different cohort of creatives for each season.
For Midnight Runway S9: DISRUPT, our designers will come together for a group runway at midnight, reimagining the spirit of London punk subculture through resistance, creative defiance, and self expression, interpreted freely by each designer. Showcasing this season we have clothing designers Alicia Glen, Eli Heijink, Grace Wroblewski, Sarah Salox and Sol Lee.
Sounds will build from the pre-runway buzz straight into a high-energy afterparty, with sets from sald3e, siett, 3C, bby berry, and Tebi TV. Expect a genre-blurring mix of hip hop, UK underground, trap, jungle, gqom, baile, and more.
In the spirit of Disrupt, each DJ will bring their own interpretation of resistance and creative expression through sound. Music will be as bold and boundary-breaking as the fashion.
